Artipoeus is entering its third year of production, with this season’s theme focused on The Art of War – what is the role of artists when society is on the brink of war? Can art make us think? Promote peace? Save the world? Artipoeus began in 2014 as Expo Paris, a weekly broadcast on WRP in Paris.
Artipoeus uses storytelling techniques to relate contemporary art to the greater world (politics, religion, social and philosophical movements), as well as it relates on a personal or individual level.
Every season has a theme, and exhibits are loosely chosen based on that season’s theme:
Season 3 (current) : THE ART OF WAR / TBD
The role of the artist in wartime and the impact of art on war / tbd
Season 2 (68 episodes) : IF WOMEN RULED THE WORLD / The Long Goodbye
Feminism, Female Artists and the persistence of patriarchy / Moving cities
Season 1 (35 episodes) : LET THEM EAT CAKE / The Heart Is A Lonely Hunter
Social and gender inequality in France / Love American-Style in the French Capital
